Hitched Photography F.A.Q.
What makes you different from other local photographers? Why should someone hire you?
I like to think I have a lot of great qualities to offer - An enthusiasm to make wedding day as special as you want it to be. I stride for perfection in all I do, I hate doing a job only half way. All our photographers get continuous training to enhance their photography skills.

How many weddings have you photographed?
I’ve done quite a few weddings and so it’s difficult to put an exact number on how many. My experience might best be measured in years. I’m currently going on my 5th year photographing weddings specifically, but I’ve been into photography for 16 years.
How many pictures do you take? Can I provide a list of posed photos for you to take?
I take roughly 600 – 1500 photos at a typical wedding. A lot of times I bring an assistant photographer, which might bring the grand total to around 2000 plus photos. And yes I you can provide a list of poses. I here to photograph your wedding the way you want it while adding my own creative charm to it.
How would you describe your photographic style? What does this mean?
I could say it’s an “Adaptive” style. I adapt to the couple that I’m going to photograph. If the couple are more into an artistic style I’ll go that route. Maybe they would want more photojournalistic style, I would change my shooting style to photo them. When a couple are more neutral I fall back on my standard style of half traditional and half candid.
How far are you willing to travel? Is there a travel charge?
I’m willing to travel up to 100 miles on my own dime. After that, It would be nice if they couple would be willing to cover my travel expenses. And if they are getting married in say, I don't know...Hawaii !! and they would like my services, oh heck yeah, I’d go
Can we request both that both color and black & white photography be used at the wedding?
All photos are taken in Color. And after the fact I can change any and all photographs to black and white or sepia. I have the programs to convert the images and if you have any special requests, I’m sure I can make them happen.
Can I keep the negatives? the proofs? Is there an extra charge for this service? How much?
On some of my larger wedding photography packages the CD with the negatives is included. And on my smaller packages they came with a photo DVD slideshow for viewing on your TV. Any wedding I photograph comes with a free online gallery for viewing and purchases, but if you’d like a CD with your images that can be purchased in our Ala Carte.
Do you bring an assistant to the wedding to help coordinate portraits?
Yes 99% of the time I bring an assistant. They help with setting up my shots as well as doubling up on photographing the wedding from all angles.
What kind of equipment will you bring with you? Do you bring backup equipment? lighting?
I bring my Nikon cameras, Speed light Flashes, Lens, filters, battery chargers, reflectors, and battery packs. I have back up cameras, gear, extra batteries, and the works. I do have portable studio lighting, a lot of times I’ll just keep it in my car unless it’s needed. It’s always good to be prepared for any situation.
What new ideas have you implemented in the last couple years? Are you current with latest trends?
I went from using film to digital and it’s great. More and more couples like the flush mount albums and photo books as opposed to the classic 4x6s, 5x7s, and 8x10 albums. My online ordering has never been easier, you can even order cool photo gifts like a coffee mug with your wedding photo on it
